Loras Poll: Clinton, Trump deadlocked in Iowa

Young voters. nearly 3 in 10 young voters (28 percent) polled said they could switch their vote based on tonight's face-off between Clinton and Trump. Most Clinton supporters (56 percent) say the moderators will try to be unbiased, but 20 percent say they'll try to help their candidate. People who might not show up to the polls are also more likely to consider switching their votes. Clinton leads Trump by just 1.5 points, according to a Real Clear Politics poll average, down from 2.4 points a day ago.

"But it's been a year and a half now of this campaign". Only 38 per cent had a positive impression of Trump, to Clinton's 39 per cent.

Expectations may be higher for Clinton because she is a veteran of 34 primary debates, having run for president in 2008 when she lost to now-President Barack Obama in a long, hard-fought Democratic primary. Trump dominated the crowded Republican debates with rapid-fire attacks on his rivals but he has no experience in a one-on-one debate setting that requires more prolonged discussion of issues. In discussing each in detail, Oliver pointed out that, while things may look bad for Clinton, it's really got much more to do with how bad it looks than how bad it actually is.

In comparing the scandals faced by Clinton and Trump, he likens them to raisins in a cookie.

That said, he cautioned that can't be the bar for Trump's success.

Mr Corbyn suggested he was not giving the idea much thought during an interview with the BBC's Andrew Marr. Jeremy Corbyn has been comfortably re-elected leader of the United Kingdom opposition Labour Party.

NBC's Lester Holt is the moderator, and will open each segment with a question.

"Tonight, you'll hear Donald Trump reflect on a view on the world stage that is a view about American strength".

In the latest survey from Bloomberg, Trump edges Clinton in a four-way race that includes third-party candidates, 43%-41%.

"Times have certainly changed in the presidential race here in Iowa, and Trump has come from behind to draw the race even", Budzisz said in the release.
