There isn't much in the way of details about Barnes' character, but rumor has it he'll play organized crime prodigy Bobby Saint. It was played by James Carpinello in the 2004 Marvel movie. When Jon Bernthal's tortured take on the character first appeared on DAREDEVIL season 2, fans were immediately clamoring for him to have his own solo series.
Apart from portraying Prince Caspian, Barnes' other acting credits include playing Founding Father Samuel Adams in the 2015 miniseries "Sons Of Liberty", playing Dorian Gray in a 2009 film of the same name, a supporting role in 2012 film "The Words" and a supporting role in a 2013 comedy "The Big Wedding".
The villains have often been the highlight of Marvel's Netflix series, with Vincent D'Onofrio's Walter Fisk emerging as the standout character of Daredevil and David Tennant leaving quite an impression as the psychic sociopath Kilgrave on Jessica Jones.
Cleveland Indians Danny Salazar injury update
Josh Tomlin is now set to replace Salazar in the rotation after being replaced himself. The timeline provided by the team indicates he could return for the playoffs.
In both the comics and Daredevil, Castle is a vigilante who adopts the name of the Punisher after his family are brutally murdered. More recently, he starred in HBO's upcoming Westworld series and it's easy to imagine Punisher showrunner Steve Lightfoot knowing something that we don't about his performance in that series and casting him. Meanwhile, Luke Cage also from Marvel and Netflix will arrive September 30th.
There has been no official release date for Season 1 of "The Punisher".
Ben Barnes has joined the cast of Marvel's Netflix-exclusive TV series The Punisher.
