Colts trying to win high-stakes game as Bears come to town

42nd regular season meeting.

The hypothetical question is somewhat tricky to answer because Cutler may have also turned the ball over one or twice, which could have led to more points for the Colts.

The Colts needed yet another come-from-behind victory to improve to 2-3. The Bears won six of the last eight meetings, including post-season.

Young gave the defense a first-quarter sack in a series with the Bears sorely needing a stop, and added a second in the second half to force the Colts to settle for a field goal.

Cameron Meredith, Bears: 9 receptions, 130 yards and a TD in Chicago's 29-23 loss at Indianapolis. The two franchises met in Super Bowl XLI with the Colts coming away with a 29-17 win at Miami's Dolphin Stadium as former QB Peyton Manning completed 25-of-38 passes for 247 yards and a TD to earn game MVP honors.

The Colts entered this afternoon's game under an vast amount of pressure. Brian Hoyer continues to make the Bears decision to make Jay Cutler the starter when he fully recovers from his thumb injury a hard one. But rookie RB Jordan Howard, who last week became the first Bears back since Matt Forte to eclipse 100 yards in his first start, is a powerful and promising back who Fox and Dowell Loggains will ride as far as he'll take them.

"We are going to keep working to try to dig ourselves out of this hole, that's all you can do", Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. He was sacked five times, pushing his season total to 20.

"Our guys in there were battling", said coach John Fox. Ex-Colt Jerrell Freeman, credited with seven tackles in initial statistics, hit and pressured Luck into a throwaway that was short of the line of scrimmage for a grounding penalty. Glenn has been a safer option than Deiondre' Hall, who has been feast or starvation. He'll have to get help.

The boat was sponsored by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition , a group of pro-Palestinian groups based mostly in Europe. The 2014 conflict was the most devastating of the three, killing 2,251 Palestinians and leaving 100,000 homeless.

But on Sunday, for the second consecutive week, the Bears proved they CAN compete, despite those challenges with depth.

O-line dance: The Colts went with a different starting offensive line for a fourth straight game and, incredibly, the 35 time in Luck's 60-game regular-season career. Some wonder if Mathis' is starting to show his age at 35 years old.

Just good enough, in fact, for most people to think nothing is wrong, if you're just looking at Jeffery's overall season stats (22 catches for 394 yards).

Bears receiver Kevin White. Pernell McPhee, Lamar Houston and Eddie Goldman won't be back any time soon, and Willie Young has been M.I.A. the past two weeks while Leonard Floyd has been extremely slow to develop, and is listed as questionable with a calf injury. At some point, Luck and the Colts won't be as fortunate because he'll get injured on a play in which he gets sacked.

Indianapolis continues to struggle to play well for all four quarters. That includes the aforementioned final play of the contest, during which Jeffery beat the corner in man coverage and was open for an easy game-winning score. Hoyer finished 33 of 43 for 397 yards and two TDs.

BEARS defense limited Lions to 263 yards in Week 4, including only 18-66 rushing after allowing Cowboys 199 yards rushing the previous week. Indianapolis has 12 touchdowns on 13 red-zone possessions.

Running back Frank Gore (chest), offensive lineman Jon Harrison (appendectomy), wide receiver Donte Moncrief (shoulder), outside linebacker Erik Walden (chest) and outside linebacker Robert Mathis (rest) did not practice. "I'm happy with the win, but I'd rather we sealed the deal early so it wouldn't have to be back and forth".
