In this Combination of pictures taken on September 26, 2016, Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton face off during the first presidential debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

Clinton will address the comments and Trump's fitness for office at or near the beginning of the debate, the aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said. He never let her accusations go unanswered, and as a result he missed opportunities to use his speaking time to draw attention to Clinton's perceived weaknesses. Mr Clinton has denied the allegations.

A tweet sent from Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeau's Twitter page said, "Donald Trump's comments are reprehensible". After Clinton claimed during the first debate that former Miss Universe victor Alicia Machado was humiliated by Trump, Trump Trump responded on Twitter, calling Machado "disgusting" and a "con".

A Donald Trump supporter heckles House Speaker Paul Ryan as he speaks during the 1st Congressional District Republican Party of Wisconsin's annual Fall Fest in Elkhorn on October 8, 2016. It's been more than 24 hours since Trump's comments were released.

Now, an audio recording from ten years ago has been made public, in which he said even worse things about women.

Trump, however, put up a defiant show.

But, Hillary Clinton has said that Trump should not be President after what he has said.

"He's going to apologize for what he did. I believe this is not the man we're talking about today".

"If Donald wants to talk about something other than what voters want to talk about, that's his choice", Kaine said on CNN's State of the Union show.

Trump's running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, was initially supposed to fill in for Trump at the event with Ryan but backed out and released a statement saying he did not condone or defend Trump's remarks.

"We pray for his family", Pence said.

His unprecedented, outside-the-establishment presidential bid, and the embattled Republican Party with it, was thrown into disarray by the misogynistic comments, with growing calls from top Republicans for him to step aside.

The US Just Ended Syrian Peace Talks With Russia
As diplomatic relations between Washington and Moscow deteriorate and the fighting worsens in the Syrian civil war, U.S. He said U.S. -Russian differences have been "overdramatized" and voiced hope that cooperation on Syria could be resumed.

They belatedly join Republican Sens.

The New Hampshire senator dropped her support for Trump on Saturday. Rob Portman and Ayotte - both are running for re-election - and the party's 2008 nominee, Arizona Sen.

Republican leaders scheduled a rare Monday conference call for House GOP lawmakers, who are on recess.

Friday night, House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz became the first sitting Republican congressman to pull his support for Trump in the wake of the 2005 video, which was surfaced by The Washington Post earlier in the day. On Friday, The Washington Post and NBC News both released a 2005 recording of Trump describing attempts to have sex with a married woman.

"I think it's just the reality of kind of how the sausage gets made", one man said. When pressed on what he would have said, Trump had told CNN: "Maybe I'll tell you at the next debate".

"Grab them by the p--. You can do anything". "I'm sure my legal team is already looking at efforts underway, if there are any efforts underway", she said when asked if Democrats would oppose any effort by Republicans in the states to switch candidates on ballots.

The possibility of Trump abandoning his quest for the White House, however remote, raised questions about the handling of ballots already cast, such as those from soldiers overseas, the elderly who can not go to the polls and college students living away from home.

"Another says "'Republican leadership' should have only one job: "Help elect the nominee we voted for, Donald J. Trump".

Marketing strategist and former political spokesperson Dorie Clark expects Trump to go on the offensive with attacks on Clinton's marriage; a strategy she says may not win him any favours with undecided voters, but could be successful in eroding support for his opponent.

With the November 8 elections one month away and Clinton leading in the polls by almost five percentage points nationally, the latest uproar has plunged Trump in the deepest crisis of his turbulent campaign. Four weeks from Election Day, ballots are printed and rules vary state by state on how changes to ballots can occur.

The Clinton campaign says the town hall format is a good one for Hillary Clinton since she prefers small listening sessions and roundtables with small businesspeople or working moms over big set piece speeches at rallies. The Democratic nominee told bankers behind closed doors that she favored "open trade and open border".
